It’s okay not too. You just created a new human and your body will take time to recover. Trust the process, but don’t miss out on these first few weeks. I make sure and pose you so that you look stunning. Plus, you will be holding that newborn for most images and it helps hide the unwanted tummy.

When I do in home newborn photos I don’t look for perfectly designed rooms, but light. Don’t stress about decor. I will put you and that little babe in beautiful light and get dreamy images regardless off what your home looks like.

Most people think you have to schedule the session within a week or so of baby’s delivery. That isn’t the case. 4-8 weeks is just right. Baby is both awake and asleep. You have recovered a bit more and feel more settled in your new role of motherhood.

For newborn sessions, that little babe runs the show. So I go with the flow. We take our time and just relax into that time with a new baby. If he/she needs to be fed, changed, rocked, etc. we do that and I photograph each moment as they come. If other family members are involved (which I highly recommend) then I have them get in lovin’ on that sweet baby too.

For in-home sessions, I suggest mid-morning or early afternoon depending on which way the majority of windows face. For outdoors an hour or so before sunset to get that warm golden glow.

Newborn packages are $525 or $700. Each package is priced according to the amount of downloadable images, photography time, and travel so there is a ton of value for every budget.
