Someday the bus, where someday becomes a reality. What an amazing thing this family accomplished by making their dreams a reality! How many of us work towards that someday and it keeps getting farther and farther away? I know I’m that person. After taking family pictures with Jennifer, Kaitlin, and their kids I went home and had a serious conversation with my husband about how to make our dreams come true.
During their photoshoot I asked Jennifer and Kaitlin their story about how they came to be living in a bright pink bus. They told me that they were working a living a “normal” life and it just wasn’t what they wanted. So they sold their house, packed all their belongings into storage, modified a school bus into a moving home, and set off to live their Someday. How inspiring is that!?! The determination and faith to make such a big leap was crazy inspiring.
Okay, we talk about how cool Someday the Bus is. First of all, IT’S PINK! When I pulled up to the Sandia Foothills to see that I got to photograph a bright pink bus I squealed with excitement. I love photographing families, but getting the chance to take pictures of a traveling family on a pink bus was a career highlight for me. Kaitlin asked me to not only take family pictures with the bus, but photograph the interior details. Everything was miniature and perfect inside this mobile family home. From the letterboard saying to the deer skull hanging in the back. It was cosy, beautiful, and functional.
