Weddings that take place at a LDS temple are a bit different to photograph than a traditional wedding. Rachel and Andrew are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Usually weddings take place inside this spectacular structure. As the photographer I wasn’t allowed inside for the ceremony. So instead of getting the first kiss inside we made up for it with lots and lots of lovey, emotional, PDA filled photos outside. LOL!
All of Rachel and Andrews family and friends were waiting for them when they exited from the temple doors. The two newlyweds had tons of family there to celebrate their special day. It was such a big group, but photographing them all is a breeze with a plan in place and some patience. Quickly pictures of all the family and its many different groupings were photographed. All done outside this beautiful LDS Albuquerque Temple.
The reception later that day was beautiful and relaxed. Rachel and Andrew wanted their individual pictures done right before everyone arrived. This was also the time to get in wedding detail shots. Bouquet, boutonnieres, cake, and dress were all photographed before guest arrived. That way this adorable bride and groom could enjoy their party instead of worrying about getting in all the shots they wanted.
